iPHEX 2015 is an exhibition that brings together the drugs, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry all under one roof. It is one of the largest showcase of Indian pharmaceutical products and technologies to a global audience.

Co-located with PHARMA Pro&Pack Expo 2015, a show for pharmaceutical machinery manufacturers, iPHEX 2015 offers the industry majors from India and all across the world a great platform to connect and do business.

The exhibition was held from 13 to 15 May; 2015. The exhibition photography was done for Norex Flavours Pvt. Ltd.

Generate business from your website

So you want to generate business thru your  website and acquire new clients?

This guide will help you do exactly that and more...

There are certain business steps, that need to be taken in order to make money from your website. The money comes from the  clients, so you need to increase the exposure of the website to reach the maximum possible potential clients. 

There are several methods, but be assured that 'earning and learning cannot be done Quickly!' It takes time, efforts and commitment to achieve online success. Yes, you have 'invest' money to make your website 'worthy' of generating interest. 

Here are the preliminary steps:

1. Identify your target audience :

Understand who are your target new clients, who will generate business for your company


Who are your existing client? What are the services or products that they avail of your company? Whom do you want to have a new clients? Does geographical distances effect your line of business?

Answer these questions, by writing down the answers in a notepad. It may take some time, but it will be building block of your online strategy. You may never know, there may be new client base or new markets that can be targeted!
Just by listing down and identifying the target audience, you will have the clear vision of the new clients that can be potentially added.  

2. Set realistic goals:

Always be realistic in setting goals, that you can achieve with the available time, efforts and financial resources


How many visitors do you want to come to your website? We will address the question of from where last, but for the time being, set realistic goals. Is your website brand new one or you are planning to take it to the next stage?

With decent amount of efforts, you should be able to generate 10-20% additional visitors, by following most of the points illustrated here.
Over time, you can upscale your website and online marketing budgets and strategy. 

3. Analyze the competition:

Shortlist the top 5 competitors


Who are your biggest competitors? How active are they on the online platforms? Do they regularly post on the social media platforms? Have a complete Excel sheet / table that lists your competitors, their websites, social media campaigns and search engine marketing campaigns.

Visit each of the your top five competitors website and note down the important features of their website.

Does their website work flawlessly on all platforms: desktop / laptop / tablet and mobile?

After you have visited, their website, check their Facebook and Twitter accounts. How actively are they posting on the social media platforms. What type of graphics and images are being used by them?

Do they have blog? If yes, visit the blog and read some of the blog posts. How regularly, do they post? After reading the blog posts, you will have a fair amount of understanding of the quality and quality of their blogging. Remember, in order to achieve online success, you will have to keep yourself one step ahead of them.

For example, if they are post once a week with a 500 words blog post, you will have to post twice a week with 1000+ words posts, along with custom made graphics and images.

Be ready to invest in good quality images/graphics. You can either hire a graphic artist or DIY. In any case, do not use copy righted material, it is illegal and brings the value of your company down, in eyes of the potential clients.

You need to check, how long your competitors have been online with a tool like, Easy Who Is. Just fill the form with the website address and it gives all the relevant information of the domain name.

As your competitors must have been online for a fair amount of time, you will have to make sure that you are ready to put in lot of hard intelligent work consistently, over weeks and months.
Be sure, to invest minimum of one hour per day towards the website and similar amount towards the blog and social media platforms. You may start off with doing it all by yourself, but it will be a good idea to hire professionals to handle these matters.

Photographs of Tower Cranes


Here are some interesting photographs of tower cranes captured at Dahisar near Mumbai, with Canon EOD 6D mounted with Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.

The industrial photography was done  from the neighboring buildings and construction sites as  well as on the top of the building where the tower crane was mounted. 

As it was a bright and sunny day shoot, all the photographs were taken hand held and with the Image Stabilization (IS) ON.

The photography could  have been done with the just launched Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L USM Lens; but this lens is not available in India at the time of doing this shoot in April; 2015.

Graphics add value to the webpage, they are light weight and easy to understand. Graphics can be designed in-house or out sourced to professionals.
Graphics are generally line art drawing, that are easy to create and explain a point.

For companies / business, that have large collection of  images, the website should have an image gallery, that holds the best of the project / product images. Be sure, to reduce the image size, without compromising on the quality.

PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is good option to display quality images with minimum file size.

GIF (Graphical Interface File) are ideal to create animated files and other line art based images.

JPEG (Joint Pictures Experts Group) file format in ideal for photographs and images that are taken by cameras / scanned from documents etc.

You can always increase the security of downloadable PDFs, by making them password protected or print protected and non-editable.

Keep in mind the file size! Do not upload heavy files, not many users would download a 100mb PDF. Reduce the PDF size and then get it uploaded by the website maintenance agency.

Get the animated video files edited by a professional video editor and do not forget to add your logo!
